About us

Evelyne Gélinas and Marie-Claude Trempe met on the school bench as fourth grade classmates back in 1991. At that precise moment in time they had no idea that 12 years later, in 2003, they would learn to hand spin and weave on traditional looms in a project for Young Volunteers. This experience was so positive that in 2005 they decided to launch their own small crafts enterprise: Rien ne se perd, tout se crée... (Nothing wasted, everything created).

They have since developed their own collection of clothing and accessories hand-crafted in their workshop in St-Sévère, in the Mauricie region of central Québec. Their collection, which includes clothing, fashion accessories and kitchen items, is made with organic cotton fabric hand-woven on traditional looms as well as other fabrics, mainly organic cotton. Every possible initiative is taken to be environmentally conscious: The company stationery is made from recycled carton, the fabrics are pre-washed using biodegradable soap, and fabric trimmings are used to make greeting cards, dish cloths or other small items.

Their creations are sold in over 90 boutiques across Quebec. You may also purchase items from their collection at the major exhibits and craft fairs or at their own boutique. Choosing designs made by Rien ne se perd, tout se crée... means choosing distinctive, ethical, comfortable and durable fashion.

Rien ne se perd, tout se crée... fashioned by 25 years of friendship and 13 years of textile delight!
